I'm an artist, traveler, mountaineer, and systems thinker driven by curiosity about both the world around us and the one within us. Whether I'm trekking through remote landscapes, experiencing different cultures, or creating in the studio, I'm drawn to the patterns that connect people across places and perspectives.
Melted Rhythm grew from that curiosity. Every journey, conversation, challenge, and moment of reflection has shaped the way I see the world. This space is where those experiences come together through art, writing, photography, and storytelling.

Pete Kapich is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in the United States. His practice spans large-scale painting, works on paper, and occasional installation. He has exhibited in galleries and art fairs across the country, and his work is held in private collections nationally.
Kapich came to painting through a circuitous path — years spent in other fields before the pull of the studio became impossible to ignore. That late arrival shaped his relationship to the work: there is an urgency in his paintings, a sense of someone making up for lost time by going deeper rather than faster.
He works from a private studio, maintaining a practice built around long, uninterrupted sessions and an ongoing dialogue with the history of abstract painting — from the gestural intensity of de Kooning and Kline to the meditative quietude of Agnes Martin and Mark Rothko. His work sits in the space between those poles: emotionally charged but formally considered, expressive but never careless.
